I only recommend products that I have personally used and still use for natural stone. Please always be sure to check your products to be sure that they are safe for use on your type of stone. I receive so many calls from homeowners whose cleaning staff have “burnt” their stone from using non-approved cleaners! These are the products that I use and recommend for natural stone.

Recommended Stone Cleaners
My favorite brand of cleaners and sealers is the Laticrete StoneTech line. I have been using them for over 20 years. I’ve tried other brands and keep coming back to this one! These are my recommended cleaners for natural stone.
StoneTech Revitalizer Cleaner & Protector is my top recommendation for daily or weekly cleaning of your stone. It is suitable for all natural stone and works for countertops, floors, and showers. The Revitalizer contains a built-in sealer that helps extend the life of your professional sealer application. It comes in ready to use 24 ounce spray bottles or can be purchased as a 1 gallon concentrate for larger areas. In citrus or cucumber scents.
StoneTech Mold & Mildew Stain Remover for removing mold/mildew in your showers or along sinks and backsplashes. Suitable for all natural stone. Ready to use 24 ounce spray bottles.
StoneTech Soap Scum Remover to remove light soap scum in showers. Heavy layers of soap scum will need to be professionally cleaned but this product is great for regular cleaning in your stone showers. Can be used on glass shower doors also. Ready to use 24 ounce spray bottles.
AMAZ Water Stain Remover is my go-to for getting water deposits off of glass and porcelain. Rub it on and buff off.
Stone Sealer
Laticrete StoneTech BulletProof Sealer is a water-based sealer that I recommend to homeowners for yearly sealing of countertops. It can be used on any natural stone. Apply sealer, let it dwell, and buff off. I still recommend having your stone professionally sealed with a heavy duty sealer every 2 years for a shower and every 3 to 5 years for stone flooring and additional areas. White marble definitely needs sealed professionally every 2 years.
Additional Products
RainX Glass Cleaner helps protect your glass shower doors from hard water mineral deposits. I prefer to use the foam spray but either will work. Works great on mirrors too!
Flitz metal polish is THE best mineral deposit remover for your fixtures. It works on just about everything and you’ll be using it all around your house. It only takes a tiny bit each time so a tube will last you for quite a while. I always have this in my product box at work and at home.
Cleaning Helpers
Commercial Mop Bucket with a blended mop head for scrubbing large areas of stone flooring. You really need to use an old-fashioned mop for stone, I don’t feel that a Swiffer brand style mop works very well. Great for mixing your cleaning concentrate in. The mop head can be thrown in the laundry and reused multiple times.
For smaller areas, we use these nifty easy-wring microfiber spin mops. They spin the excess water off the mop by using a foot pedal.
A large dry dust mop is important for cleaning up small debris from foot traffic that can scratch your stone floors. Never use a vacuum cleaner on stone, it leaves multiple scratches on the surface and aren’t meant to use on marble floors.
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day hand soap is recommended for your bathroom vanities. We have been using this brand of hand soap, dish soap, and all-purpose cleaner for 6 years now and haven’t seen any issues with it etching stone. Many hand soaps are high in citric acid and will leave white “etch”marks in stone. The etch marks have to be ground with diamond abrasives to remove them. In other words, they can only be removed by a professional. They sell larger containers if you wish to put them in decorative soap dispensers and they have a large selection of scents.
